of the Ways of pressing-keys
There are four ways of pressing
keys: short press, long press, press and hold and single press. All the press-key hereinafter
indicates short press except special description.
Short press: press key once to
activate
Long press: press down key for
over 1.2 seconds to activate and activate one time only
Single press: press down key and
activate at the sudden of releasing.
Press and Hold: During the
pressing, the event may be activated for several times at a certain frequency,
such as “F.FWD and F.REV.

Record in REC Mode

For the above operation, just short press REC key to enter REC interface.
The recorded voice is saved in the current directory that is
set in “REC Stop Submenu/Main directory.<0}
If the screen displays “Space Full”, it indicates there will
be no space to record new files, and please delete other files to release space.
If the screen displays “Directory Full”, it indicates there
are 99 REC files in the directory and please change to another directory.
Only Play key is available during the recording.

Convert the ACT REC file into WAV
The files with ACT format recorded
by the player may be converted into WAV format via the attached installation
program toolkit.
1. Run
the program “Sound Converter” and click “Open” knob.
2. Select the ACT
file to be converted.
3. Click
“Convert” knob to start to convert into WAV format.
In addition to the function of converting
ACT into WAV format, it may play these files with WAV and MP3 formats.
FM Radio
1. Enter the

Detailed Operation Description
○REC time
1. In System Setting interface.

press Mode key to enter “REC Time” setting interface:

4. Push Next key increase the value（opposite by pressing Last key）.
5. After the adjustment is finished,
short press Mode key to confirm to exit.
○“Language
Setting”
Operation
refers to “EQ Mode” setting.
○“Power Off Setting”
Operation refers to “EQ Mode” setting.
Thereinto:
“Energy-Save
Mode” means: you may set a time “Unit: Second”, in Stop state, the time
is calculated when no key is pressed and the player would power off automatically
to save the electricity once the set time is over; “0” indicates the function
is inactivated.
“Sleep Mode” means: you may set a time
“Unit: Minute”, in any state, the time is calculated when no key is pressed and
the player would power off automatically once the set time is over, this mode
is to enjoy the music before sleeping.
Note: it only can be activated one time once
Sleep Mode is set, after power off, the set time will be cleaned up
automatically, and if you need such function, please set it again.
○“Replay Setting”
Operation
refers to “EQ Mode” setting.
Thereinto:
Manual
Mode means that it can’t stop sentence during A-B replay, it is need
to set the stop point by manual.
Auto
Mode means that it can stop sentence automatically during A-B replay. (for
reading English without music)
○
Contrast Adjustment
Operation refers to “EQ Mode” setting.
○“On-line
Mode”
Operation
refers to “EQ Mode” setting.
Some
operation systems (versions before Windows 2K SP4) can’t support the USB with two
disk icons. Therefore after using the function of “Divided Zone”, the user
needs to determine
which disk shall be selected for use from “Single common disk” or “Single encryption
disk” so that the selected disk can be displayed after the player is connected with
the computer.
○
“Memory Info”
The number here indicates the
total capacity of the disk and the percentage indicates the proportion already
used.
○
“Firmware Version”
The current version of the
firmware used for the player can be checked.
○
“Firmware Upgrading”
It
is the interface used for upgrading the firmware. This interface must be
entered first when
the firmware is upgraded.
Skill Prompt:
Short press Mode key to set the options and then short press Play key to exit
the menu quickly. The function of using Play key to exit menu quickly is
available for all menus.
E-File
Enter Main menu, push Next key to
select E-file, short press Mode key to enter next menu:

Directory
Selection: select root directory in portable disk.
Short
press Mode key to enter “Select Directory” interface. Push Next key or Pre key
to select the directory your want to read. Press MODE key to confirm and exit
to the previous menu.
Note: If your desired file is in
the root directory of portable disk, you don’t need to select the contents.
● File Selection refers to the operation
of “Directory Selection”.
● Push Next key to select “Text Read”,
short press Mode key to confirm, at the time, you can read the text what you
selected. During the reading, push Next key or Pre key to turn the pages.
How to
use Telbook
● How to browse
telephone info?
Enter main menu, and press Next key to select Telbook,
short press MODE key to enter the Telbook, as
follows:

Press
Next key to select Browse TEL and press M key to enter.
Press Next key to select what you
want to browse and press MODE key to exit.
Browse telephone:
browse the Telbook file you import, including name,
E-mail, cellphone, QQ, telephone, fax and other
communication tools. (The function is available only when the Telbook files are imported). If the system couldn’t read
any Telbook file, the system would give a prompt.
Import telephone: by this function, the Telbook
files the user made on the computer may be imported and updated into the
player.
Export
telephone: by this function, the Telbook information saved in the player may be imported and
created into files; the user may edit it by use of the tools on computer.
3 Establishment and edit of Telbook

The Telbook file
may be edited via the attached toolkit of installing program.
1. Run
“Telbook-Ch” program and click “Open” knob.
2. Type into the information as
per the prompt in the dialog box, and then click Add knob, at the time, the
system shall record your personal information into the list. The changes of
personal information shall be subject to the repeat operation.
3. Click Save knob, the play will
display a file with a name of TELBOOK, which indicates the Telbook
is established.

Edit Telbook file
If you
have typed into wrong info, you may conduct the following operation to change:

the Record Column the personal info to be changed, while all the options shall
be displayed in the personal info:

After
changing the information, click Add knob, the system will alert:

Yes to change, while there will display two records with one name in the record
column and they are same.
: If the name is
changed, a record with different name shall be added!
3 Import and Export:
Import
By
this function, the Telbook files the user made on the
computer may be imported and updated into the player, the routine is shown
below:

Establish
telebook via attatched
telephone edit tool Telbook.ext and save to generate Telbook.bin file.

Connect
to USB line, copy the edited Telbook.bin file into
the root directory of the player.

Enter
Telbook function after power on and import the Telbook option.

After
confirming, import the contents that are copied into Telbook.bin
file into your player.
Export
By
this function, the Telbook information saved in the
player may be imported and created into files, the user may edit it by use of
the tools on computer. The routine is shown below:

the confirmation, export the Telbook information from
the player.

Connect
to USB line, the Telsave.bin file, i.e. the exported Telbook file could be found in the root directory, and then
the user may import the file and edit via using the load knob in edit tool
after copying it from the player.
9. USB
Disk
The player
is a standard USB disk, supports these systems including Windows98 (it needs to
install the driver), over Windows2K (it’s unnecessary to install the driver),
Mac OS 10.3 and over, Linux Redhat 8.0 and over.
The player
supports USB to supply power. In Waiting state, short press Mode key to exit to
main menu and then select the mode to be operated and enter.
The player
supports Suspend mode.
After
connecting to the PC, the player has three kinds of display modes:

10. Upgrade
Player
The player may be upgraded or maintained its system firmware using the
tools and software installed on the computer.
1. Enter the main menu
2. Push Next key to select “System
Setting”
3. Short press M key to enter “System
Setting”
4. Push Next key to select
"Firmware Upgrade” and short press M key to enter
5. Connect the player to PC
7.Run the upgrading tool “MP3PlayerUpgrade” of PC, and then click knob
“Select the Firmware file of new version”.
8.
Select new firmware (it may be downloaded on the website of the company).
9. Click
“Start to upgrade” knob to activate the system to start to work.
10. If
the upgrade succeeds, the player will display as follow:
Firmware upgrade is to improve and
optimize the performance of the player. The normal work of the player would not
be affected even if the firmware isn’t upgraded.
The wrong operation of upgrading firmware
would cause the device not to work normally! Please read the manual carefully
before operating, this operation should be used by these persons who have
practical computer operation basis.。
The firmware upgrade software of this
player is not applied to other series of players, vice versa.
Other Settings

Select different directory (Stop submenu)
Different files can be kept in different
directories (the directory should be set up in advance), so as to play and
mange the files in classify. The player supports the identification of 9 one-class
sub-directories.

In Stop interface. (The example is in Music mode. The directories can be
selected for both recording and playing)

Note: The corresponding independent
directories can be respectively set for the Music mode, Record mode and Play
mode. That’s to say, these three modes may not be one directory.

File
Deletion (In Stop submenu)
In
the Music mode, Play mode and FM mode, the corresponding files and stored
channels can be deleted.

The operation “Delete All” will delete
all the relevant files of current mode of current directory (e.g. deleting all
the file in Music Mode only could delete all the music files and the REC files
will be still kept).
The
deletion interface of FM is easier; it has the first three steps only. And
what’s deleted is only these channels saved before.
Note: When you delete files on the computer, please do exit the
player safely and then pull out the USB line, otherwise the files will not be
deleted completely.
Play
Mode（Play Submenu）
In Playing
Music and REC files, various Play modes may be selected (such as Repeat,
Shuffle)
The first
option in Play submenu is “Play Mode”, when the mode is selected and confirmed,
the player will play the files as per the set orders.

Play Speed (Play Submenu)
When
Playing music (only means MP3 files) and REC files, different play speeds may
be selected (such as Fast or Slow), however, the tone wouldn’t be changed.

Note:
The
shift setting will effect on each song till you change the setting next time.

Replay Mode (Play Submenu)

Enter though the Play Submenu:

A-B Replay

In playing music or REC.

Short press Mode key to enter Play submenu.

Push Next key to select “Replay Mode” option.

Replay
Mode: “A” in Replay icon 
flashes, wait to confirm the starting

Replay
icon is fixed. the player will sustain to play the
paragraph A-B repeatedly and not exit the replay mode until the set times is
over; during repeating, you may short press Last
key to reset the point A. (The playing times should be referred to the Replay
Times in next section)
In Replay mode, you can directly press VOL+ or VOL- to set “Play Speed”.

Divided
Zone Function
Most of MP3
users are troubled with one problem—Information Exposure, nobody would like to
make his “personal data” open to others, you have to delete these “privacy”
before borrowing it to your friends, which is a big trouble.
However,
today, our player can solve the trouble thoroughly with “Divided Zone”
function.
The USB
disk could be divided into two parts in any proportion by the attached tool,
(you will see two disk icons on your computer, if the operating system is
Windows 2K, please install SP4, otherwise only one icon could be seen on, and
the other one would be seen by selecting “Single Common Disk” or “Single Code
Disk” in System Setting/Online Mode.）
and set a password for one of them (it may also be divided into two disks even
if neither of them were set password.), to hide your secrets and nobody would
see these data without the password, which is the convenient Divided Zone
function.

Connect
player to your PC.(it requires to install the tool in DW-04 folder and convert
ACT to WAV format)

Run
the installation program toolkit “MP3 Player Disk Tool” in PC terminal.
14. Firstly, you will see the format
tool and please select “Divide and Encrypt” option, set an appropriate capacity
for the encrypted disk and give marks in front of “User’s Name” and “Password”,
input your user’s name in “New User’s Name” and input a password in “New
Password” and then input the password again, click “Start” knob to start to
divide.
16. After dividing process is
finished, the player will give a prompt as follows:
18. Press Confirm knob, the computer
will alert you to restart it, please confirm it and reset your computer.
19. After resetting the computer, you
will see two disk icons (only one icon could be seen under Windows 2K SP4 or
below), click the encrypted disk (the second one) with three files inside, two
of them are hidden files and another one is an executive file with a disk
capacity of 300K.
31. Run the executive file
“RdiskDecrypt.exe”, and input the user’s name and password in the dialog box,
the disk will be opened with right password, and then you may copy files to it.
It
is needed to input the user’s name and password for each connection to computer
to open the encrypted disk.
Note: it will delete all the data
in the process of division, please keep a copy. And it will also delete all the
data in the process of combination.
Warning: please keep your user’s
name and password in mind; the encrypted disk would be unavailable without
them. It couldn’t cancel the encryption unless combining it with the other one;
however, all the files might be lost during the combining process.
